In respect to all of the other Peace Corps Volunteers who have created blogs before me which were immensly useful during my application process I've decided to follow their lead and start my own. This will be the site on which I will chronicle my Peace Corps adventures in Moldova, beginning June 10, 2009! I look forward to the day after I've returned when I can use this site to look back and reminisce on the characters and places I will have come into contact with as a result of my Peace Corps experience.

You don't know me, but I see that you've been invited to serve in Moldova and that you have been given a departure date of June 10, 2009. Congratulations! I just had my final placement interview with the Peace Corps last week and although they couldn't tell me what country in Eastern Europe I would be going to, they said I would be departing June 10th. I have a funny feeling we might be in the same group! Right now I'm just patiently (yeah right) waiting my invitation in the mail! I have a million questions/thoughts running through my head as I'm guessing most people in our position do! If it turns out that Moldova is to be my home for the next 27 months, I would love to get to better know one of my fellow pcv's! Congrats again on your placement!
